Advocate
She is an Associate in the Litigation Department of the Firm and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. She graduated in law with Honours from Moi University in the year 2005 and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in May, 2008. Amimo Akong’a joined Macharia-Mwangi & Njeru Advocates in July, 2015 as an Associate in the Litigation Department. Before then, she undertook pupillage at the firm of Khaminwa&Khaminwa Advocates. Upon admission she worked briefly in the firm of Khaminwa&Khaminwa Advocates and Kimanthi& Associates Advocates before moving to KinyanjuiNjuguna& Co. Advocates where she worked as an Associate handling litigation briefs.She is also a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
Akong’a’s main area of practice includes:- Insurance Law, Civil Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Employment &Labour Disputes, Family Law etc.
